KB1118 - Missing User Accounts on Moodle (Enrollment)

If you're manually enrolling students or teachers into your course and are unable to locate someone by name and/or student ID, it may be because he/she doesn't yet have an existing Moodle account. We will not bore you with the technical details as to why this may be the case. Instead, we'll just tell you how to work around it.

To create the missing account, have the student or teacher log into Moodle (through myVCC, Online Courses) for the first time.  Once fully logged into the front page of Moodle, they can exit, if they wish, but ask them to notify you after they have successfully completed the login process.

Once the student or teacher has notified you, try searching for them, again. They should be there. If not, let us know by submitting a ticket.
